Sugar Glaze

1 cup powdered (icing) sugar)
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
Combine ingredients and stir until smooth and creamy. Add icing color, if desired. Brush onto cookie with pastry brush and let dry at least 1 hour before decorating. 
Stir icing well during use to prevent the icing from developing a mottled or spotty look on the cookie.
